November 18, 2015 – Kennesaw, Georgia – State Farm agent Ryan Young truly knows the meaning of being a good neighbor. Management and staff at the office of Ryan Young – State Farm recently underwent Special Needs Communities’ online training, to learn how to better serve customers with special needs. Ryan Young – State Farm is the first insurance company to become Special Needs Certified.
“As a business owner and lead sales person for my organization, I assumed that there wasn’t much to learn in terms of communicating effectively with all of the customers and prospects that we serve. But when Special Needs Communities presented us with an opportunity to learn more about the community with special needs and factors to be aware of, I knew we needed education in that department,” said Ryan Young, owner of Ryan Young – State Farm.
Special Needs Communities’ mission is to unite communities and create environments where everyone, regardless of their abilities, feels love and acceptance. Since launching in October 2014, over 20 states now have special needs certified cities and businesses.
Special Needs Communities owner Lindsey L. Turner is thrilled that Ryan Young – State Farm is reaching out to individuals with special needs and disabilities.
“Ryan Young – State Farm’s commitment to wanting to better serve their customers with special needs is an example all businesses and organizations should follow,” said Turner. “Knowing we have helped educate their employees means that there is a welcoming and inviting office families with special needs can visit when they are in need of insurance and financial services.”
“After completing the Special Needs Communities’ training, my entire team felt much more equipped to help those families we currently serve as well as those clients we hope to gain in the future,” said Young. “Because our business is built upon custom-tailored advice to each individual household, I feel this training both sets us apart and equips our office by understanding the challenges (financially or otherwise) that our families with special needs must deal with on a recurring basis.”
Special Needs Communities is a social enterprise focused on uniting communities and creating environments where everyone, regardless of their abilities, is treated with love and acceptance.
