May 4th, 2015 – Acworth GA. – Something special is now being served at Moe’s restaurants in Acworth and Cartersville: customer service that is Special Needs Certified. Management and staff at both restaurants recently underwent Special Needs Communities’ online training, to learn how to better serve customers with special needs.
Randy Elias owns both restaurants, and says employees are encouraged to interact with all customers. He says the training has really opened their eyes to some of the needs their customers have.
“Being able to recognize and cater to someone with special needs is something we are proud to do,” says Elias, “and we are excited to be called a Special Needs Certified restaurant.”
Since Special Needs Communities opened for business last fall in Atlanta, and has trained more than 100 businesses to become more special needs friendly, according to owner Lindsey L. Turner.
“We love partnering with awesome businesses like Moe’s, so customers with special needs receive quality service,” says Turner. “The training pays off for customers and for businesses, which find a loyal customer base among people with special needs.”
Elias says the training is an important first step for Moe’s employees as they learn to reach out to people with special needs.
“We hope this training will continue on with our staff long after they move into the next stages of their lives, ” says Elias.
He appreciates the training that will help customers with special needs feel welcome and appreciated when they visit Moe’s restaurants.
“We thank Special Needs Communities for providing an incredible tool to assist us in better serving our customers of all abilities,” adds Elias.
Turner congratulates Moe’s management and employees for investing in customers with special needs.
“We’re excited that Moe’s is making this commitment to its customers,” says Turner, “and we encourage people with special needs to check out the great service and food at Moe’s Acworth and Cartersville restaurants.”
